Ubisoft, IGN and The Field partnered with Ted to create the world’s first IGN Premiere launching the new Assassin’s Creed Syndicate game at the end of October 2015. IGN Premiere is a top secret and exclusive experiential event open to the U.K’s biggest gaming fans that is live broadcast to a global audience on IGN.com, the world’s biggest gaming website.
With guests traveling nationwide to attend the event, the premiere allowed Assassin’s Creed fans to step back in time to Victorian London, witnessing the uprising of the Rooks led by Jacob & Evie Frye whilst meeting key members of the ACS development team and being the first people in the U.K to both watch exclusive game content get hands on with the full ACS title.
Guests were introduced to Victorian food and drink offerings alongside tarot card readings, bare knuckle fighting and knife throwing. Key locations from the game were brought to life with guests able to have a drink in the infamous Seven Bells pub, plot their next attack in the Rook’s den and even rub shoulders with The Templars, Rooks and Jacob & Evie Frye.
For this highly anticipated event Ted handpicked an experienced Brand Team consisting of 1 Event Manager, 8 Demonstrators and 5 Event Staff alongside an experienced bar team. In addition Ted incorporated a team of professional immersive theatre actors to set the tone for the evening and engage and entertain guests.
IGN Premiere was the first event of its kind in the UK and the team did a fantastic job working symbiotically to transport guests into the game world whilst delivering detailed game demonstrations and a seamless bar service. We can’t wait for the next one!
